How we build

Every Varliukai platform starts from a public need, not from a technology. We look for what is missing on the Lithuanian web and build small, dependable tools — free, ad-free, and without tracking.

Our commitments for every project:

• Free for the public. Platforms are funded by the 1.2% income-tax designation, not by user data.
• Privacy by default. We collect only what is strictly necessary; retention periods are published on the privacy page.
• Quality is checked. Before every launch — automated checks and an independent review; the quality criteria are published in advance.

The process

1. Need. We identify a concrete problem — most often from people's letters and our own experience.
2. Plan in the open. Before any code, a written specification: what, for whom, and what will explicitly not be done.
3. Engineering. AI helps with the building, and a human answers for the quality: everything is tested and reviewed before it is published.
4. Responsible launch. A staging environment, security and accessibility checks, and only then the public.
5. Care. Retention limits, answers to letters, yearly reviews.
